Punishment for Niedzielski? The Confederacy shows what the problem is

The problem is that Niedzielski will not pay, all taxpayers will contribute, Konfederacja writes, commenting on reports of an administrative fine for the former minister.

Former Health Minister Adam Niedzielski receives PLN 100,000. Fine from PLN for disclosing the data of one of the doctors – according to unofficial press information. In practice, the fine will not be paid by Niedzielski, but by taxpayers.

The Confederation has commented on the matter and has repeatedly raised issues related to the activities of the former Minister of Health, especially in the context of the COVID epidemic.

Confederacy: The problem is that taxpayers will pay

A message was published on the party’s profile expressing opposition to paying the fine from the state budget, that is, from the pockets of taxpayers. In practice, there will only be a transfer from one budget account to another.

“As a result, Niedzielski resigned – but the case still went to the prosecutor’s office, the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, the Ombudsman and the Ombudsman for Patients’ Rights, and now “Rzeczpospolita” informs that the Office for the Personal Data Protection will do this. imposed a fine of PLN 100,000 on him, but it is imposed. Not for Adam Niedzielski himself, but for the office of Minister of Health. This means that in practice it will be paid by the ministry – and that applies to all of us, because the only money the ministry has at its disposal comes from our taxes,” we read on the profile of the Confederation.

Administrative fine for Niedzielski

“Rzeczpospolita” reported on the case on Thursday. Following the accession of the former minister, an administrative procedure was started by the Personal Data Protection Bureau. As “Rz” discovered, the case will probably end this year, and in January Niedzielski will be imposed the maximum administrative fine that can be imposed by the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, namely PLN 100,000. zloty.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced in early August that Adam Niedzielski had been dismissed from the position of Minister of Health. This was the result of Niedzielski’s disclosure of the doctor’s sensitive data on the X website (formerly Twitter).

Previously, the Ministry of Health introduced changes to regulations regarding the writing of electronic prescriptions for painkillers and psychotropic drugs. Some doctors claimed that problems quickly arose with its delivery.

Niedzielski revealed on a social networking site the first and last name of the doctor who wrote the prescription for himself on the day he said on TVN24 that he had been unable to give a prescription to any patient.
