According to press reports, the government of Mateusz Morawiecki wants to warn coalition politicians and is preparing a draft law on ZUS holidays for entrepreneurs.
The possibility of temporary exemption from ZUS contributions for entrepreneurs is one of the points in the coalition agreement between KO, Trzecia Droga and Nieuw Links. As “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” discovered, the current government of Mateusz Morawiecki wants to implement the same solution.

Discussions about this are currently underway. – This would be a solution for entrepreneurs who find themselves in a difficult situation, but discussions are ongoing on how to define this – said a “DGP” source familiar with the matter.
“Another problem that needs to be solved is what to do with the continuity of insurance or pension premiums and the possible calculation of such leave during the internship period,” we read in the article. Morawiecki’s government must also estimate the costs of the solution, which will be charged to ZUS. The newspaper writes that monthly vacation days for every entrepreneur will cost 1.6 billion zlotys in 2024.

Even if the project is submitted to the Sejm, the decision whether to enter into force will rest with the majority and the new government led by Donald Tusk – notes “DGP”. As an example, he mentions the bill on the extension of the VAT shield on food, which the Morawiecki government submitted after the elections.
