Morawiecki’s government is preparing a “surprise” for Tusk’s coalition

According to press reports, the government of Mateusz Morawiecki wants to warn coalition politicians and is preparing a draft law on ZUS holidays for entrepreneurs.

The possibility of temporary exemption from ZUS contributions for entrepreneurs is one of the points in the coalition agreement between KO, Trzecia Droga and Nieuw Links. As “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” discovered, the current government of Mateusz Morawiecki wants to implement the same solution.

The SISTER holidays would last months to three months. It is not yet known how often the exemption will be granted. Discussions about this are currently underway. – This would be a solution for entrepreneurs who find themselves in a difficult situation, but discussions are ongoing on how to define this – said a “DGP” source familiar with the matter.

“Another problem that needs to be solved is what to do with the continuity of insurance or pension premiums and the possible calculation of such leave during the internship period,” we read in the article. Morawiecki’s government must also estimate the costs of the solution, which will be charged to ZUS. The newspaper writes that monthly vacation days for every entrepreneur will cost 1.6 billion zlotys in 2024.

The fate of the Morawiecki government’s project will be decided by the Tusk government?

As an example, he mentions the bill on the extension of the VAT shield on food, which the Morawiecki government submitted after the elections.

– They try to present us with topics that they have not worked on themselves or that were not even on the program. Decisions will be made based on the agreements in the coalition and the obligations under the coalition agreement, according to a coalition politician quoted in the publication.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Chairman of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia agreed that the head of government would give a presentation on December 11 at noon. 10. On the same day, in the afternoon, there will be a vote of confidence in Morawiecki’s government, which will most likely not receive it.
