He Eli Lilly’s anti-obesity drug Zepboundis now available in U.S. pharmacies and may be available to some insured customers for $550 a month, or half the retail price, the U.S. pharmaceutical company said Tuesday.
The company puts it medicine weight loss is available to adults through the Commercial Savings Card program, which allows insured members with insurance coverage to pay as little as $25 for a 1- or 3-month prescription.
For their part, adults who do not have commercial insurance can pay up to $550 prescription for one month.

Lilly’s Tirzepatide has been available under the brand name Munjaro for the treatment of type 2 diabetes since 2022 and is increasingly being used for weight loss while the drug’s anti-obesity approval is pending.
