The draft law on freezing energy prices will include small and medium-sized businesses. There will be a PSL amendment, Piotr Zgorzelski announced.
A group of parliamentarians from Poland 2050 and the Civic Coalition submitted to the Sejm a draft amendment to the Law on Support to Energy Consumers. The regulations regarding wind turbines were the most controversial: reducing the required distances from residential buildings to 300 meters in the case of multi-family houses and 400 meters in the case of single-family houses.
A comprehensive amendment to the Wind Farm Act was submitted to the Sejm. The most important change is the deletion of the provision allowing the construction of wind turbines at a distance of more than 300 meters from residential buildings.
On Wednesday, the Sejm decided to reject the government’s bill on freezing energy prices. 239 MPs voted in favor of rejection, 178 against and 16 abstained.
However, the coalition project on the same issue was forwarded for further work in committees. 239 MPs voted against the rejection, 177 voted in favor and 17 MPs abstained.
Zgorzelski: There will be a PSL amendment
– The draft law on freezing energy prices will include small and medium-sized businesses. There will be an amendment from PSL, said Piotr Zgorzelski, deputy chairman of the Sejm. The Polish People’s Party politician appeared on the program “Guest of Events” on Polsat News.
– The Wind Farm Law will be a well-prepared project that will change the reality in Poland. After four years of this term, Poland will find itself in a completely different state. Clean energy, solar photovoltaics, biogas plants, wind energy – said Zgorzelski.
The face of the bill on energy price freezes, which contains controversial provisions related to wind farms, is Paulina Hennig-Kloska from Poland in 2050, who is expected to become the future Minister of Climate.
– Paulina Hennig-Kloska is a well-prepared and competent person. I assure you that at the Ministry of Climate, together with the coalition leadership, he will change the face of our country’s energy sphere, said Piotr Zgorzelski, Deputy Chairman of the Sejm.
