Change ownership of The express. BFC Media’s weekly passes led by Danilo Ervolino to the family’s Ludoil Energy Group Amateur which in fact, with the new agreement, goes from 49% of L’Espresso Media SpA to 100%. “The Ammaturo family’s Ludoil Energy Group acquires 51% of L’Espresso Media SpA from BFC Media SpA; at the same time, Alga Srl of the Ammaturo Group sells 24.3% of BFC Media SpA to IDI Srl, a company owned by Danilo Iervolino. The operations are part of a process of rationalization, focus and development of the participation of the two editorial groups”, reads a joint note from the two companies.
The change of ownership was also made official on the website The express through a note from Cdr, the internal representation of journalists: “After a year and a half of bombastic announcements by reference shareholder Danilo Iervolino, a truly important announcement has reached us in the press. In fact, we learned from “the newspaper”, before the news was confirmed by an official statement, the imminent sale of Espresso to the Ammaturo family’s Ludoil group. While we wait to discover in a constructive spirit the development and relaunch plans of the new owners of L’Espresso, the note concludes, we reiterate that it will be up to the editorial committee – which operates under the mandate of the entire assembly – to always monitor and act to protect the prestige and the independence of the newspaper”, reads the Cdr’s note.
