“First step”. Minister: I’m going to a meeting with protesting transporters

I’m going to meet the protesting carriers. Solving the problem requires action at several levels, Dariusz Klimczak said.

Polish airlines have been protesting at the border with Ukraine since early November. The participants of the campaign claim that their main demands are: to restore the obligation to have permits for the international road transport of goods (bilateral and transit) between Poland and Ukraine, which was temporarily abolished under the agreement between the European Union and Ukraine road freight transport, as well as exemption from the obligation to register in the electronic queuing system for Polish trucks returning from Ukraine without loads, introduced by the Government of Ukraine.

Farmers who have joined transporters protesting at the border over the grain scandal announce the blockade will last 24 hours a day until January 3.

Klimczak: This is the first step

“I’m going to a meeting with protesting transporters. Solving the problem requires action at several levels. I start by talking to entrepreneurs who feel hurt and neglected. This is the first step in a series of actions that I am taking in the first days of work,” he said on the social networking site and took the oath in the presence of the President.

Crisis at the border with Ukraine

Let us not forget that the mayor of the Dorohusk municipality, Wojciech Sawa, has withdrawn permission for transporters to protest on the access road to the border crossing with Ukraine.

During his presentation, Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that his government had already found an answer to the problems of Polish airlines protesting at the border with Ukraine. – We will find a solution to this clinch soon. For our country, our drivers and Ukraine – assured the leader of the Civic Coalition. – We looked and found ways to take into account the needs of Polish drivers as quickly as possible and at the same time immediately unblock the border of warring Ukraine, which is waiting for transports. We have not waited for today’s vote, the politician announced, but did not provide details about these solutions.
