Gas well in Sabanalarga produces 2.5 mpcd

Rafael Guzmán, president of Hocolsubsidiary of Ecogasolineannounced the results of drilling in the Bullerengue well, one of the gas and oil fields in the Atlantic Ocean.

Results of drilling Bullerengue pit southwest 5 in Sabanalarga, Atlántico, indicate that there are more options for fuel supply. “This opens up greater opportunities for us to obtain greater gas supplies to the Caribbean coast.“, said Rafael Guzmán via the social network X.

The drilling was done hand in hand with the company Lewis, subsidiary of RNG Energy Club. The well is active 37.6 kilometers from Barranquilla and within Sabanalarga, Atlantic Ocean, where exploratory operations were announced in 2016.

The Oil and Gas Association (ACP) indicated that “the well has been undergoing continuous flow tests for twenty-two (22) days, flowing towards the Bullerengue field facilities. The tests were conducted at shocks between 18/64 and 22/64 inches , with a production range between 1.0 and 2.5 MMSCFD gas, and 30 and 80 BOPD crude oil up to 24°API. The aim is to complete the work related to the test period, increasing the productivity of the reservoir and the final connection to the facilities of the Bullerengue field”.
