What will the KPO funds be used for? The minister mentioned the first three investments

The Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, mentioned three investments that are expected to be carried out in the first period on the basis of an advance from the KPO.

The head of the ministry announced at a press conference that the first application for payment from the National Reconstruction Plan had been signed by her and sent to the European Commission last week.

The amount amounts to PLN 31 billion. According to the minister, the funds could arrive at the end of the first quarter or beginning of the second quarter of next year.

What will the first funds be spent on?

– I would like to point out three very important investments that will largely already be made in this first period, partly on the basis of the advance payment we have requested. Firstly, it will eliminate white spots when it comes to access to broadband internet. (…) Thanks to KPO funds, almost 1 million households will have access to broadband internet, said Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.

– The second very important area related to energy transformation is thermal modernization. (…) We will invest in the thermal modernization of multi-family buildings and apartment buildings – this will amount to PLN 115,000. apartments that will achieve a completely different quality of energy savings thanks to this investment – she added.

According to the minister, the ‘active parent’ program will also be discussed in the first phase of the KPO. It provides additional benefits that allow parents to go to work and leave their child in the care of someone else.

Thanks to the unblocking of the KPO, care in daycare centers and children’s clubs will be provided to 47,000 people. children – the ministry said in its presentation.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz about KPO: It amounts to PLN 7.1 thousand. PLN per citizen

After the revision, the KPO budget will increase to EUR 59.82 billion (PLN 261.4 billion), including EUR 25.28 billion (PLN 110.4 billion) in the form of grants and EUR 34.5 billion (PLN 151 billion) PLN) in the form of preferential loans.
