Entertainment company Lionsgate plans to take over its film and television studios, responsible for such franchises as “John Wick” And ‘The Hunger Games’as a separate entity, valued at $4.6 billion.
In a statement, the company explained that it would merge its film studios, known as Lionsgate StudiosWith Acquisition of Screaming Eagle, shell company.
The parent company will retain an 87.3% stake in Lionsgate Studios, while Screaming Eagle and its investors will own 12.7%. The group expects the transaction to be completed next spring.
