The battle for the PFR president has been fruitless

The Supervisory Board of the Polish Development Fund (PFR) ended the three-week battle for the post of president without results.

No applications have been received, said PFR President Paweł Borys, whose term of office expires at the end of this year. Borys announced that – at the request and in consultation with the Supervisory Board – he will remain president until a new president of the Fund is elected.

“Today the Supervisory Board concluded the three-week competition for the position of President of @Grupa_PFR without results. No candidates were submitted. Information about the competition has been posted on the PFR website in accordance with legal requirements and the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, and the issue of selecting a new President was in the public domain. As a result, and the provision in the @Grupa_PFR Statute regarding the requirement to appoint a President for its proper functioning of the board of directors, at the time that At the request and in consultation with the supervisory board, despite the end of the term (on the basis of the so-called mandate), I will remain chairman of @Grupa_PFR until the election of a new president to lead the ensure safe operation of PFR and professional transfer of responsibilities,” Paweł Borys wrote on his profile on the X platform (formerly Twitter).

“It complicates my professional plans a bit, but I normally behave as if I have to work at PFR for the next twenty years. I encourage candidates! It is not easy and demanding, but a very important and interesting professional challenge!” – added Boris.

The Polish Development Fund (PFR) is a financial group that provides instruments for the development of enterprises, local authorities and private individuals, and invests in the sustainable social and economic development of the country. The priorities are: infrastructure investments, innovations, entrepreneurship development, export and foreign expansion of Polish enterprises, support for local governments and implementation of the employee capital plan program.
