Trenord has started recruiting for new train drivers: applications start from January 3

Lombard railway company Trenord is looking for future train drivers responsible for driving trains for more than 2,200 journeys made per day. You will be able to participate in the selection by submitting your application from the “Work with us” section of the Trenord.it website from Wednesday, January 3 to Wednesday, January 31. The company is looking for a construction project manager with previous experience in the role to join the team to support the asset maintenance manager.

Selection of train drivers: profile and requirements

As reported by the company, train drivers are responsible for driving the trains and carry out their activities in constant cooperation with the train conductor and the operations room. While the mandatory requirements to participate in the election include a five-year high school diploma, preference will be given to candidates who reside in Lombardy and have at least two years of experience in the technical sector. Interested parties must also be willing to travel to Lombardy and neighboring regions; flexible working hours, problem-solving ability, sensitivity, strong sense of responsibility, emotional resilience and tendency to teamwork.

Candidates selected by Trenord will attend a training course offered by the company, at the end of which they will be awarded a European License and A4/B1 Supplementary Certificate. Future train drivers will go through a training and internship process at the company before entering service.

The role of the construction project manager

To apply for a construction project manager role, a degree in civil, civil or architectural engineering and at least 3-5 years of experience in the role, preferably in complex and/or industrial fields, is required. The requirements also include information on the construction site safety regulations of Decree Law No. 81; English language and Office suite and Autocad. CSP/CSE role qualification also preferred. The workplace is in Rho Fiera Milan, but candidates must be able to make day trips to Trenord facilities in Milan and Lombardy. The required profile is complemented by excellent organizational and analytical skills, problem-solving propensity, strong relational and communication skills and flexibility.

The selected individual will be included in the team that supports the asset, facility and equipment maintenance manager in the management, planning and control of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities of the building works.
