Naval Secretary continues to expand its control over the country’s airport infrastructure, transferring two more airports under its control.

Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) formalized the transfer of management of National Airports Colima and International General José Maria Yáñez, located in GuaymasSonora.

SICT provided the Secretary of the Navy via Mexico City Airport Group (GACM), responsible for the management, operation, operation and, if necessary, construction of these two important airports.

This measure is part of the goal of providing the country with airport infrastructure sustainable and competitive, especially in areas where air transport needs to be stimulated.

These airports, National de Colima and General José María Yáñez International Airport in Guaymas, are the third and fourth assignments completed by SICT this week.

Earlier, on Wednesday, the transfer of the administration of the General Servando Canales International Airport to MatamorosTamaulipas and International Airport Loretoin Baja California Sur.

This Thursday’s edition of the Official Gazette of the Federation clarifies that the Navy will control the two airports indefinitely.

The agency now assumes responsibility for providing all operational services, including security and commercial services.
