New places in daycare centers, modernization of agricultural SMEs, thermal modernization of apartments, computers for schools – these are the investments for which the disbursement of funds from the KPO has begun. This amounts to more than PLN 332 million.
The money comes from an advance of 5 billion euros sent to Poland at the end of December from the REPowerEU program, which is part of the National Reconstruction Plan.
The subsidy part of the advance, more than 550 million euros (approximately PLN 2.5 billion), will be used for ongoing financing of investments by the Polish Development Fund. More than PLN 53 million has been paid so far.
On January 18, PFR started disbursing more than PLN 322 million in support of subsequent projects.

– The money from KPO and the European Structural Funds is enormous and will affect every area of our lives. Their good investments are crucial, says Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.
The minister noted that the funds from the REPowerEU advance will go, among other things: to farmers. – We already have 40,000 for modernization and infrastructure in agriculture. signed contracts – informed the head of the ministry.
The REPowerEU advances transferred on Thursday will be allocated to investments in several areas:
– increasing the availability of care facilities for children up to three years old – co-financing the costs of construction or renovation of buildings where care will be provided, for example the modernization of daycare centers – approximately PLN 1 million;
– jobs for people at risk of social exclusion – PLN 2.8 million;
– farmers and fishermen and small and medium-sized enterprises from the agri-food sector for projects related to equipment and modernization of infrastructure (production facilities, warehouses, machines, low and zero emission vehicles, IT systems supporting production processes, etc.) and distribution and warehouse centers, wholesale markets – PLN 20.3 million;
– thermal modernization of residential buildings – PLN 1.8 million;
– increasing the energy efficiency of single- and multi-family buildings and popularizing low-emission energy sources – reimbursement under the “Clean Air” program – PLN 200 million;
– equalization of the equipment level of primary and secondary schools in terms of portable computer equipment with software – vouchers for teachers for the purchase of laptops – PLN 96.2 million.
