The Confederation calls for the abolition of license fees for radio and television. On Tuesday, Krzysztof Tuduj and Roman Łazarski argued for the purposefulness and validity of the postulate.
MP Krzysztof Tuduj emphasized during the press conference that this is a postulate that fits into the general thinking of the Confederation about the state, which assumes only small fiscal burdens for citizens. The group recalls that taxes in Poland are too high and proposes that systemic changes in this area should start with the abolition of television viewing fees.
Confederation: Abolish TV viewing fees
When he argued for the Confederacy’s position, he emphasized that Poles should not be forced to pay for something they do not use. Many Poles do not watch state television or listen to government radio stations.
Another issue concerns the legal mission of public media. – Only the mission justifies maintaining public media. Otherwise they are pointless. However, it must be said clearly: what is the mission of public television under PiS rule? – paid attention. – It was pure propaganda that had nothing to do with the mission – he emphasized.
State media. Tuduj: Poles are responsible for maintaining propaganda
– It must be said openly that it was not journalism, but propaganda. We were not dealing with journalists, but with propagandists from the ruling party and we are firmly against this, the Confederation MP noted.
– All Poles contribute to maintaining the propaganda. The question arises, however, how much these public propagandists, demiurges of the collective imagination, earn. We heard that the previous government siphoned off millions of zlotys in this way. Several people earned millions of zlotys. In turn, TVP’s trustee does not want to make public the income of current employees at this time, Tuduj emphasizes.
– So we are dealing with a continuation of the same attitude: how our people make millions. It’s good, but when your people are making millions, it’s bad, he added.
Later at the conference, Roman Łazarski spoke.
