The Confederation calls on the government of Donald Tusk to take immediate steps towards tax cuts and relaxations for entrepreneurs.
At a press conference on the subject, MPs Witold Tumanowicz and Grzegorz Płaczek recalled the group’s position. The politicians referred to the answers they had just received to the questions they asked Prime Minister Tusk during his presentation.
Konfederacja: Tusk reneges on his promises
According to the Confederation, Donald Tusk lied to Poles by making economic policy promises during the election campaign that he does not intend to implement. – Donald Tusk is competing with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki for the title of political Pinocchio. The noses of these two politicians are very long, Tumanowicz said.
Tumanowicz said that the Confederation’s parliamentarians mainly asked about the election promises of the Civic Coalition, what the Confederation’s ideas were. – We can already see that the government is not keeping its promises – said the National Movement politician, quoting some answers. This included the requirement to increase the tax-free amount to PLN 60,000 and the rules for paying health insurance premiums.
Płaczek: Promises made to entrepreneurs are not kept
Grzegorz Płaczek referred to the first government of Donald Tusk, when tax cuts were promised and tax increases were introduced. According to the Confederation MP, the situation is now repeating itself. As he noted, we have not yet seen the promise of the so-called cash PIT for the smallest entrepreneurs, which, according to the Confederation, is unacceptable, especially given the financial difficulties of many entrepreneurs.
The Confederation pointed out that the promise to reduce the VAT rate for the beauty sector from the current 23% to 8% has not been fulfilled. As he said, the authorities’ response that this tax is a significant state income does not satisfy the Confederation.
Tumanowicz and Płaczek called on the government to keep its promises to reduce budgetary burdens. – Responsibility is not only about creating a government, but also about keeping your word – Płaczek concluded.
