The logistics partnership aims to develop sustainable and digitalized freight mobility to expand the intermodal freight transport network on a European scale. A highly computerized transport experience, capable of optimizing costs, flows, distances traveled and emissions for the benefit of those involved in the various production chains, who will thus be able to explore the potential of the Logistics Hub’s European rail network, combining the first and last mile on the road offered by sender with green vehicles. Every year, Mercitalia Logistics and the shipper transport more than 53 million tons of goods, of which 41 million through 100 thousand trains and 12 million tons with 1 million loads managed by road.
