11.2 percent Poles plan to take out a loan or credit to organize Christmas Eve and Christmas – according to a survey by UCE Research and the Offerista Group.
– In my opinion a little more than 11 percent. this is not a great result. It is smaller than in previous years, taking into account various market studies – says Robert Biegaj, co-author of the study “Christmas debt of Poland” from the Offerista Group.
He pointed out that studies two or three years ago showed that even more than 20 percent society borrowed money to organize Christmas Eve and holidays. – However, the situation is gradually changing. Poles are moving away from the old maxim ‘put yourself in the foreground and stand up for yourself’. They don’t want to get into debt unnecessarily. And in my opinion this is a very good trend, he emphasized.
According to him, “it is very likely that banks and parabanks will not earn much during the holidays again this year, because Poles have become more cautious about taking out loans or credits.” – And first of all they probably go to family or friends (…). Only then can they go to parabanks, where formalities can be completed as quickly as possible – often without major verification of income and documents – Biegaj added.
