The Social Insurance Institution has published calculations regarding the amount of benefits in 2025. The amounts include indexations planned by the government. Not only pensions and annuities are expected to rise.
However, the indexation of benefits will be lower than in previous years. According to calculations, this will amount to 5.82%. and will account for only half of the increase recorded in 2024. This benefit amount is the result of declining inflation.
The official indexation percentage of pensions and annuities will be presented at the end of February 2025.
Benefits after indexation. There were specific amounts
ZUS calculations, presented at the request of the daily newspaper “Fakt”, show that the minimum pension, the total disability pension, the survivor’s pension and the social pension will be increased from PLN 1,780.96 gross to PLN 1,884.61 gross.
The lowest pension for partial disability will increase from PLN 1,335.72 gross to PLN 1,413.46 gross.
The pension for total disability as a result of an accident at work or occupational disease and the survivor’s pension in the event of an accident will be increased from PLN 2,137.15 gross to PLN 2,261.53 gross.
The pension for partial disability due to an accident at work or an occupational disease will in turn increase from PLN 1,602.86 gross to PLN 1,696.15 gross.
As for the healthcare allowance, the amount will be increased from PLN 330.07 to PLN 349.28.
What about the thirteenth and fourteenth retirements?
The rates for the thirteenth and fourteenth pension are also stated. Next year the “thirteen” amount will be PLN 1,884.61 gross.
This will likely be the amount of the ‘fourteenth salary base’, as the government will not decide to increase the benefit, as it already did once before the 2023 elections.
These are not the only additional benefits for seniors. From July 1, 2025, they can enjoy a widow’s pension, which allows them to combine their deceased spouse’s survivor’s pension with their own pension or annuity.
Until now, pensioners and disabled people could only receive one of the above benefits.
