In the Italian seas, new horizons behind Mega Wind Farms have tens of billions of euros on paper, Italy organizes compared to Europe, but the interest of multinational companies is lively: those who want to build and build them

The horizon may change soon: there are thousands of wind turbines in appearance. Nevertheless, everything is about paper, but the future of renewable energies in Italy seems to pass through the wind -swindkeepers. Hundreds of projects deposited to the Ministry of Environment provide large parks on the banks of the Italian coast. So far only one has been done. Behind the cards and the authorization process, there is a large group of multinational companies ready to invest and earn billions of euros.

At what point with the wind we -ghore wind

Italy is strongly delayed in the development of open sea ice compared to European states. A real situation gives an idea: Currently, our country contributes to general power to 0.05 percent of the total.

While more power than all China in the world, Europe has more than 30 percent of global total. Most of the plants on the old continent are located in the North Sea. The largest wind farm is being built in the world: in the United Kingdom, it will be 130 kilometers away from the shores of Fortiashire and will be able to feed six million houses of 277 turbines. However, the priority is Denmark, which produces 26 percent of the total of open sea wind energy in Europe.

In general, the wind farm in the European seas manages to meet the electricity demand for 2 percent of the total, which rises to the 19th century. And in Italy?

The first and only Italian wind farm in the sea: how is it going

Currently, there is only one open sea wind farm in Italy. In Puglia, it is located outside Taranto: “Beleolico”, the first example of its species in the Mediterranean. It was built by Renixia, an Italian company, a part of Toto Holding SPA. Ten turbines cover the annual needs of 60 thousand population.

The facility lasted 14 years to end the authorization supply chain stipulated by the Ministry of Environment: the project was presented in 2008 and opened only in 2022. The useful life is estimated in 25 years. But how long will the only Italian wind farm in the sea remain? Nevertheless, there is a high interest in the sector: According to Terna’s data, there are 132 applications for connection to the electrical network by potential open marine systems.

As can be seen on the map, 78 percent of all demands are concentrated in three parts of Southern Italy between Sicily, Puglia and Sardinia. The total power to be established is important and it is generally touched by 90 Gigawatt in general than renewable sources established in Italy. There is a 129 -word coastal wind project on the website of the Ministry of Environment. Only 4 of them have concluded that the “send” process with a positive result and the evaluation of the environmental impact.

The four plants crossing the street are between Sicily, Puglia and Emilia Romagna. 40 kilometers from the coast of Barletta “Barium Bay” will be built, a wind farm from 74 floating knives – not directly built on the sea bed – a consortium created by a Swiss platform operating in the field of renewable energy in Europe and a bari company, Hope will be built by a Swiss platform.

The Ravenna project, which has almost two billion euros on the card, is on the shores of Ravenna, which will provide electricity for half a million families through 75 aerogenorators. The Energia2020 project, which is not far away, is a tool of Brescia 3r Energia and Foggiana Fortore in Rimini, will establish 50 turbines. Instead of the fourth plant that crossed the street, it is located in Sicily, outside Egadi, in the province of Trapani: Greenit, Sieni, Cassa Depositi and Copenhagen will be consortium between the partners of the infrastructure, 35 kilometers of red from the shore.

But where is the rest of the Italian wine? And who wants to build these systems?

Therefore, the coastal closed wind plants in Italy are counted on the fingers of a hand between the only park and the other four other parks. But there is more. According to the portal of the Ministry of Environment’s powers, the projects are 112. Most of them are concentrated in Southern Italy, and thousands of knives can be thickened on the shores of Apulian and Sicily in Western Sardinia and Calabrian Ionian. However, seven of the largest and most powerful parks may occur in Puglia.

Investments are at the disposal of billions of euros. So who focuses on living? Behind large projects focusing on Puglia, Sardinia and Canale Di Sicilia, we find multinational energy. These include the Spaniards Aciona, Bluefloat and Repsol, Norway Fred Olsen and Swedish hexies.

However, there is also the ENI State participant in the wind race. Italian energy giant’s female (“Tyrrhenian Wind Energy”), Sicilian Project (7 Naval Wind Energy “), Calabrians (” Krimisa “) Sardinia (” ichnusa power “) and” ichnusa power “) and” ichnusa power “) and” ichnusa power “) and” ichnusa power “) ichnusa power “) and” ichnusa wind energy “) and” ichnusa wind “) and” Edison, “Bluwind Pozzallo” park with the “Italian” in Sicily.

Interest on the Italian coast often attracted other major energy international international attempts with each other or with local partners:

  • Renantıs (part of JP Morgan Investment Management Infrastructure Fund): Historical Italian renewable operator Ex Falck is currently under international control. It is very active in partnership, for example with the Spanish Maviflo energy in the Lecce and Taranto region;
  • Bluefloat Energy: Gallery has several projects in Spanish expert -gallery, Sardinia, Puglia and Calabria;
  • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP): Danish funds among world leaders in renewable investments presented plans for open sea parks in Sicily and Sardinia;
  • Baywa.re: The German energy giant, which has a turnover of 23.9 billion euros, presented 14 projects (2 Puglia in 2 Puglia, 4 in Sardinia, 6 in Sardinia, 6) through the “Nymphae renewable” subsidiary.

For costs, Renixia’s “MED WIND” floating park, Toto Holding Spa stands out with an euros of 9.3 billion euros. Then, by Renantis and Blue Float, a total of 7.5 billion euros, which combines “Kailia” and “Odra” projects as a second expenditure center. And others can add, wait to get the suitor.

In the next decade, these projects that can change the horizons of the Italians: Energy transition is going through here.
