Soon to be the boss of Twitter: the headstrong and demanding Elon Musk –

A colony on Mars fights climate change with electric cars, repairs brain damage by implanting a chip: too much ambition for a single human life it could be said. However, this is not the case with Elon Musk.

A new challenge has been added this week: Replacing Twitter. The online platform’s board of directors has approved Musk’s $44 billion takeover offer. The arrival of the visionary but controversial businessman has already caused unrest among Twitter employees.

Raised by books

Musk grew up in South Africa. He saw very little of his parents for the first eight years of his life. “I grew up with books,” he told Rolling Stone magazine in 2017. He started living with his father when he was ten years old. Looking back on a bad plan, he thinks to himself, “He was such a bad person, you have no idea.”

At school he was bullied for years as the youngest and smallest in the class. Musk could only protect himself after a growth spurt at the age of 16. At seventeen he left South Africa for Canada, where his mother was from. He then left to study in the United States and started a software company with his brother.
