Airline EasyJet canceled nearly two hundred flights in Europe on Thursday due to a computer problem. The leak has now been fixed, but according to the company, the flight schedule can be interrupted for the rest of the day.
The return flights of EasyJet to and from Schiphol were canceled on Thursday, although it is not clear whether the malfunction was the cause.
EasyJet carried out about 1,500 flights over the network on Thursday, the airline reports to NU.nl. Nearly 200 flights were affected by a computer system problem that was resolved within hours.
“EasyJet is expected to operate about 1,700 flights on Friday, but unfortunately few flights were interrupted this morning. Passengers were informed about this and given the option to book or get their money back. We apologize for the inconvenience,” said a spokesperson.
