Oil production rose in April this year

This decline occurred electrical faults in the Caño Limón field in Arauquita, Arauca, and because of the blockades in the La Cira and Infantas fields in Barrancabermeja, Santander.

51 were drilled in April wells, of which 3 are exploratory and 48 are in development. Cut to April, 228 wells have been drilled this year: 212 under development and 16 under exploration.

For its part, in April 2022, the production of traded gas was 1,100.15 million cubic feet per day (mcfd), representing a 4.04% increase compared to the same month of 2021.

When the production of April 2022 is compared with that of March of the same year, there is evidence of a increase 2.02%, going from 1,078.31 mcfd to 1,100.15 mcfd.

The Ministry of Mines and Energy indicated that this increase was mainly explained by the recovery of the production of the Floreña Mirador field, as well as the good performance of the Chuchupa (Manaure – La Guajira), Cupiagua Sur (Aguazul – Casanare), Floreña Mirador (Yopal – Casanare) fields.), Pandereta (Caimito – Sucre) and Grapefruit (Pueblo Nuevo – Córdoba).
