Check out the high cost of the energy service, enter the Magdalena River PPArunning infrastructure projects connecting the region and promoting exports are some of the issues that businessmen from the Atlantic see as priorities for the new government.
This was reflected in a forum convened by Asobancaria, Confecamaras and the Barranquilla Chamber of Commerce (CCB), which analyzed the main proposals of Gustavo Petro and Rodolfo Hernández.
The chairman of the CCBManuel Fernández said there are three fundamental problems for the region, such as the Magdalena River, foreign trade and analyzing energy costs.
“Although the two candidates talk about the navigability of the Magdalena River, we believe that taking into account the importance and great economic potential for the country of this river artery, this should be a priority project and given greater relevance as a proposal,” noted the executive. He said the river has the potential to move 550 million tons of cargo per year and only about 5 million today.
