TUI fly and Sunweb: Booked flights will continue this summer

Flights booked with TUI fly for this summer will not be cancelled, TUI Netherlands reported in a press release. Schiphol holidays booked through tour operator Sunweb can also continue. This is the public holiday from July 7 to August 14.

In order to limit the crowds at Schiphol, airlines must significantly reduce the number of flights departing from Schiphol.

According to Sunweb, only 1% of its customers need to depart from another airport or on a different day. According to the company, TUI fly passenger flights will not be canceled in July and August. Some TUI passengers will need to fly from a regional airport.

Uncertainty about package holidays

For people with a package holiday who travel with another provider, such as Transavia or KLM, there is still uncertainty. TUI and Sunweb say they are still waiting for additional information from other airlines. Therefore, it is possible that the flights of these passengers will be cancelled. Travel companies should hear about this by mid-July.

Starting next week, TUI will inform customers about any changes to their flights. In any case, it is already clear that all holidaymakers who fly to the Caribbean will continue to fly from Schiphol.
