With the implementation of the Single Investment Window (VUI) in Colombia, foreign investors who bring their capital to the country will receive a digital tool that guides them in, among other things, the procedures, regulations, costs and times to be considered in this process.
The Minister of Commerce, Transport and Tourism, María Ximena Lombana, said this is a clear roadmap of what an investor should do to settle in Colombia.
“It will guide them to adapt their project to the existing conditions in the country; have all the information about the main procedures, their costs, their times and the entities they have to communicate with,” he explained.
He added that it will also provide them with the necessary and relevant information so that they can access the incentives and benefits available to the chosen investment sector.
The VUI was developed with the credit of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) which funds the ‘Support Program for the Diversification and Internationalization of the Colombian Economy’. It has two stages: the first, the informational; and the second, transaction.
