2 Summer crisis coming to an end soon: abundant sunshine and mercury rise to tropical temperatures

After a mini-dive, the weekend will once again offer summer revival. Sunday will be a sunny weekend with temperatures above 30 degrees, Weerplaza reports on Thursday.

Thursday is actually by far the coolest day of the week, meteorologist Wilfred Janssen of Weerplaza told NU.nl. “It could still be 25 degrees tomorrow. »

Saturday will be pleasantly warm in most of the country with temperatures between 25 and 27 degrees. “Then the supply of warmer air really gets going. It might be a bit cooler on the beach, but still very cosy.”

Tropical temperatures on Sunday

Sunday is open if you look at the thermometer. In the extreme south of the country and parts of Gelderland, the mercury can reach 31 degrees Celsius. In the rest of the country it will be just below 30 degrees.

“In colder places it is still 26 degrees and on the Wadden Islands it is also much warmer than normal.” The meteorologist warns of humid weather in some places. “Then it can feel stuffy and stuffy.”

Monday the heat will go away for a while

It can also be warm in the tropics on Monday, but it is still unclear how long the high temperatures will last that day. “During the day, the air is expelled. It could be sooner or later. In the latter case, it will remain tropical for a long time.”

The warm weather is likely to be cloudy on Monday with thunderstorms and rain, but this is still uncertain with the current weather calculations.

The weather will gradually cool down over the next few days. “We shower occasionally, but that doesn’t solve the ongoing drought. Next weekend we see a rise in temperature again. It can still produce tropical temperatures, albeit extremely uncertain. Tropical two weekends in a row.”
