In July, consumer confidence in Colombia was -10.4%, a significant drop of 13.3 percentage points from June this year, when it was 2.9%.
This was announced by the Fedesarrollo Study Center, in which it stated that this behavior was mainly due to a 13.2 pp drop in the consumer expectations index and 13.3 pp in the economic conditions index.
The Fedesarrollo report states that the Consumer Confidence Index has fallen across all socioeconomic sectors.
“This shows lower consumer confidence than last month,” the think tank noted.
With regard to housing, this indicator fell from -18.2% to -35.3% (17.1 percentage point).
