Fashion Week officially kicked off in Paris, attracting stars, top models and influencers from around the world. There was also no lack of royalty and crowned heads: in the front row of the Dior I was present Beatrice Borromeo, the Maison’s chic ambassador along with Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Princess Cleopatra Oettingen-Spielberg. Pierre Casiraghi’s wife looked super chic in a black and white suit with pants, a look that was inspired by the most noble and ancient sport: horseback riding.

Former journalist and now a prominent member of the Monegasque royal family, Beatrice Borromeo is a regular guest at Dior fashion shows. Both she and her husband Pierre Casiraghi are actually ambassadors for the French fashion house. It’s no surprise then that Borromeo flew to Paris to admire the spring/summer 2023 fashion show designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. For the occasion, she gave up her bon ton clothes to show off a black suit with pants. Not the classic suit, but a short embroidered jacket inspired by equestrian uniforms, with contrasting white profiles and buttons. To complete the look, she chose a red lipstick and tied her hair in a ponytail.

The black’n’white look is part of the collection Dior Cruise 2023 presented in Seville: each piece is inspired by the great Spanish tradition and the rhythms of flamenco. Among the guests at the show were also Chiara Ferragni, with a leather look, Valentina Ferragni, Elle McPherson and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Stylist Maria Grazia Chiuri explored the relationship between fashion and power, inspired by Caterina de’ Medici, an Italian from the French court (a bit like the creative director of Dior) who imposed a unique style, made of black and embroidered dresses.
