Amici22, Professor Celentano assigns a task to Ludovica: “She wants to make me uncomfortable with my body”

The first few weeks at Amici’s school are always very busy, especially for students who do everything they can to prove that they are good and deserve the bench they won with difficulty. However, not always the tests to which they are submitted must be considered correct, such as the one that the teacher Alessandra Celentano asked Ludovica, a dancer followed by Emanuel Lomodern teacher reinstated again at Canale 5’s school. The girl, talking to her teacher, points out that she is not comfortable and he, in fact, refuses the test proposed by the ballet teacher.

Ludovica’s comment on Celentano’s test

An apparently simple choreography, not stratified or structured in who knows what way, but which hides traps, this is how the proof desired by Alessandra Celentano for Ludovica that she must wear a very skimpy outfit, even dancing in heels, is perceived. The dancer, upon seeing the video of the professional who interprets the choreography, declares to her teacher:

It’s very out of my comfort zone, dancing in heels has a weight, then dressed like that, I feel worse, but I do it willingly. To dance like this you have to feel beautiful, but I don’t feel like it, even though I want to work on myself.

Emanuel Lo, by the way, shares his mood and tells the girl what he thinks about this request, reassuring her: “I don’t take the test, I’m very happy that you want to put yourself in line, and that you want to do it, that honors you. In my opinion this is not a rehearsal, you are here to make art, yours, which is dance and in my opinion this type of rehearsal looks more like a fantasy rehearsal. If the teacher wants to test you for me, no problem, we can do all the tests in the world that pertain to dancing, but these pertain to your body. You don’t have to do this for me.”

Ludovica’s decision

The teacher’s objective would be to show that Ludovica doesn’t have the right physique to be a ballerina. A battle that the professor has been fighting for some time and which, with these more particular tests, he tries to give more value. Speaking to her teammates, Ludovica is convinced to learn choreography anyway, especially Ramon highlights how mature this attitude can be on her part: “You tell her that she learned choreography, but you dance dressed as you want, because if it’s a dance rehearsal that’s what you have to watch, if you drop the study, total” says Celentano’s pupil. The dancer, therefore, in a new confrontation with her coach, communicates this intention, which, however, is dismantled by the teacher: “You have to think for yourself, they can give you advice, but then you have to do the things that are good for you.”
