The yacht of the future cannot ignore respect for the environment. The climate emergency is now a paramount necessity for everyone and the Livorno Fabiani Yacht shipyard presented its latest hybrid creation, Futura 101 Hybrib, at the Genoa boat show. It is a 100% sustainable luxury yacht that, in addition to sailing in the traditional way with two diesel engines, can also travel in total silence and at no cost, thanks to solar energy.
The hybrid is the future of seaworthiness for the Italian shipyard Fabiani Yacht. His Futura 101 Hybrib mega-yacht is equipped with a revolutionary solar system, combined with retractable electric propulsion. The photovoltaic panels that power the boat so it can move around at no cost leave the structure when the sun conditions allow it to recharge. The design is based on the same green patterns as the other models in the Fabiani Yacht line, but improved even further.
Innovation, sustainability, safety and comfort are the underlying principles of the Futura 101 Hybrib yacht which, thanks to retractable photovoltaic panels, can sail free of charge, using only solar energy. The yacht has a length of 28.8 meters and is spread over four levels with 190 square meters of surface for retractable solar panels.
The mega yacht is thus equipped with a true photovoltaic park that makes the Futura 101 Hybrib sustainable and self-sufficient even while sailing. With a slow, silent and totally sustainable pace, the yacht can reach 6/8 knots, as if it were walking on water, self-sufficient and without cost, for those who know how to enjoy the slow life without giving up luxury and comfort.
