recent statements by scarlett Johannsson all the media that deal with film and entertainment are talking. The Manhattan diva goes back to her beginnings when, due to her beauty, she lived the specter of hypersexualization. She’s talked about it in the past and now, host of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the actress is back to talk about how because of her beauty she has long felt like a sex object.

Scarlett Johansson’s words

The actress, Match Point diva and actress who plays the character of Black Widow, explained to the podcast “Armchair Expert” commented and moderated by Dax Sheperd that:

I was treated like an object and classified only according to my forms. I felt like I wasn’t being offered the roles I really wanted to play. I remember saying to myself, “Maybe people think I’m forty. I had been acting for many years, so people thought I was older. Maybe that’s why I was hyper sexualized. I see actors who are already twenty years old and it seems to me that they can be whatever they want, even different from what was imposed in my time.

New times on the horizon

But it is also true that there are new times on the horizon. The actress shared her perception of this change: “Certainly there is a new time and it is no longer allowed to classify artists, actors and actresses as before. Now everything is much more in motion, thank God.” Scarlett Johansson, after suing Disney for streaming the Black Widow movie, is now involved in the movie “Asteroid City”. It will be the next commitment of the film diva, who thus returns to collaborate with the great director Wes Anderson, with whom she had already worked on “Isle of Dogs”.
