Selena Gomez AND Hailey Baldwin officially made up after years of gossip, newspapers often spoke about their alleged rivalry. The first is the pop star’s ex-girlfriend, the second is his wife and, at least according to the rumors, there would never have been any particular sympathy between them. On the occasion of the second edition ofAcademy Museum Annual Gala, however, the two wanted to silence the gossip by posing smiling and relaxed side by side. Despite the peace made, on the red carpet of the event they challenged each other in style: this is how the friends-enemies dressed for the night.
Selena Gomez with a masculine look
To attend the Hollywood event, Selena Gomez followed the menswear trend with an all-black Giorgio Armani suit. The pop star paired a pair of straight pants with a short, single-waist jacket with a satin collar, completing it all with a matching top that was barely visible. She didn’t give up the stiletto heel with black sandals and added a sparkly touch with some white gold and diamond jewelry, from the maxi ring to the dangling earrings, all from Cartier’s Panthère collection. Loose, straight hair with the center row, makeup barely hinted at and a smile plastered on her lips: Selena’s minimal elegance left everyone speechless.
Hailey Baldwin’s low-cut dress
Hailey Bieber preferred something much more provocative and sensual. She turned to Saint Laurent, the Maison that usually signs her looks for public appearances, choosing a dress from the Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
It is a dark brown model, has a maxi cutout on the belly, strapless bustier and sinuous draped mermaid skirt with ruffles under the navel. She then coordinated the manicure with the nuance of the dress and added a precious touch with a bronze-toned beaded choker. She also, like Selena, opted for a straight hairstyle, highlighting the “new” dark hair. Which of the two wins the style challenge held in Los Angeles?
