Why Brendan Fraser Might Win an Oscar
All critics seem to agree that Brendan Fraser could win an Oscar. To Variety, the actor commented: “Everything seems to be going well. I’m really excited because seeing this reception is the best recognition of what we’ve done, it’s having an impact. It’s the kind of response that feels completely new in my professional life.” The same director Darren Aronofsky, after having played him in 2011 for “The Black Swan”, could be nominated again eleven years later. The cinematographer who supports him, in fact, is Matthew Libatique with whom he worked on all of his best films.”Requiem for a dream”, the same “the black swan”, except for “The fighter🇧🇷
The director had thus commented to Deadline on the choice to focus on Brendan Fraser: “I spent a lot of time looking for the right star, met a lot of people and thought of a lot of different actors,” he said, “When I met Brendan Fraser things changed, he’s a gentleman and his presence made me think, ‘He could do this.’ It was an instinctive feeling.”
