The Crown 5 is available at Netflix from Wednesday, November 9th. The new episodes of the series that tells the story of the British Royal Family, focus on the end of the marriage of Charles and Diana Spencer, staging the scandals that invested them. Among the most controversial episodes is that of intercepted phone call between Carlo and Camilla where the two indulge in intimate confidences.
Tampaxgate, the real conversation between Carlo and Camilla
The scandal erupted in 1993, when the transcript of a six-minute phone call between Carlo and Camilla Shand in 1987, when both were still linked to their respective spouses: Diana and Andrew Parker Bowles, was published. Here is the passage that generated the most discussion and became the subject of parody.
Carlos: Oh God, I wish I could live in your pants. It would be so much easier!
Camila [Ride]: What would you turn into, in panties? [Ridono entrambi]🇧🇷 Oh, you’re going to be a pair of underwear.
Carlos: Or, God forbid, a Tampax. My usual luck! (Laughs)
Camila: You’re a complete idiot! [Ride] Oh, what a wonderful idea.

The Crown, scene of the scandal
The scene was revived in one of The Crown 5 episodes by actors Dominic West and Olivia Williams as Carlo and Camilla, who relied on the transcript of the actual conversation. The actor who plays the current King Charles III says: “God I want to feel inside you, around you, up and down in you”🇧🇷 And keeps going: “God I just wish I could live in your pants it would be so much easier“. Actress Olivia Williams then responds:”What will you become? In panties?“. And West concludes:”Or, God forbid, a Tampax. just my luck🇧🇷
