A favorite holiday of horror fans may be just a few weeks away, but there’s still plenty to get excited about on the horizon as Shudder announces the premiere date of Joe Bob’s Ghouultide encounter🇧🇷 Just like previous years, this year too the last entry The event will showcase an amazing film duo hosted by Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy “The Mail Girl”, and the event is sure to have some special guests as well. In addition, the event will include a charity auction so fans can take home exclusive horror artifacts from popular movies. Joe Bob’s Ghouultide encounter premieres December 16 at 9pm ET on Shudder TV and will be available on Shudder December 18.
As Shudder describes the event, “Joe Bob celebrates Christmas at the drive-in, complete with the last entry3rd annual Christmas auction with proceeds going to charity. And who knows, maybe this year’s double-header will include a Christmas horror movie or two…”
The joke about how the event can show the horror of Christmas is a reference to previous years when the host flatly refused to show such films.
In 2018, Briggs hosted the show 24 Hours the last entry This event was intended as a farewell to the host, but led to the development of a weekly series and several Christmas specials due to its popularity. On that first holiday, Briggs screened no Christmas-themed horror films, but did screen four films Spirit series, with the fan favorite controversially omitted mind II the experience
