Ilary Blasi is on vacation in New York and, between iconic restaurants and pre-Christmas shopping, he took the opportunity to visit the new New York observatory, which includes some of the most extraordinary experiences to be had in the city. Ilary Blasi in New York visited the One Vanderbilt skyscraper, the tallest in Midtown, with the most incredible view of the city. The building is next to Grand Central Terminal, New York’s historic station from which it has direct access, and is next to the iconic Empire State Building and Chrysler Building.

A Vanderbilt occupies an entire city block between 42nd and 43rd Streets and Madison Avenue in Manhattan. The skyscraper comprises 73 floors for a total height of 427 meters including the tower. Instead, the Summit is the new scenic observatory located atop One Vanderbilt, where Ilary Blasi went.

Summit One Vanderbilt is an immersive space spread over three levels with external glass elevators that allow you to enjoy an extraordinary panorama. New York’s new observation deck combines art, technology and architecture with unique experiences.

Upon entering the skyscraper, you experience a real ascent that, with the panoramic elevator, suspended 330 meters above Madison Avenue, allows you to reach the top of One Vanderbilt.

The immersive environment includes several installations and experiences: Air, by artist Kenzo Digital, provides a sense of boundless space with 9,000 square meters of mirrors and an incredible panorama from windows over 300 meters high.

Artist Yayoi Kusama’s installation transforms the space into a bubble-filled visual immersion. At night, Summit One Vanderbilt is like a beacon of light visible from all over New York. To visit the Summit you pay an entrance fee that varies from 39 dollars just to enter the structure to 73 dollars to do all the experiences and drink a cocktail at the top.
