Last night Buckingham Palace hosted one of the most anticipated events of the year for the Royal Family, the gala reception with the Diplomatic Corps. It hasn’t been held since 2019, the last time the doors of the royal palace opened was there Queen Elizabeth IIbut has now been replaced by the new royal couple, King Charles and Camilla, and the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton🇧🇷 The latter returned a few days after the trip to Boston, but despite that, she immediately returned to work, happy to represent the crown at such an important event. Aware of having taken the late monarch’s place at the reception, she found a sweet and precious way to honor her: here’s what she wore for the evening.
Who designed Kate Middleton’s red dress
We had left in fluorescent green next to William to close the trip to Boston, now we find Kate Middleton ready to kick off the Christmas holidays. For the reception with the Diplomatic Corps at Buckingham Palace, she bet everything on fiery red, the symbolic color of Christmas, showing off a long princely dress designed by Jenny Packham, one of her favorite British designers (and who also designed the total white look that a week ago he used it in another gala event at the royal palace). This time, she chose a model with straight lines, with a mermaid skirt, long sleeves and a crew neck, all decorated with floral ornaments made with shiny total red beads.
Kate Middleton wears Elizabeth II jewelry
To complete the look in full Christmas style, precious details could not be missing: the Princess of Wales dusted some jewels from the royal collection, more precisely the “jewels” that belonged to Queen Elizabeth II, from the crown to the earrings, all studded with pearls and diamonds . Kate showed off a new look with straight, slightly voluminous hair in the center of her head and enriched her hairstyle with the Lotus Flower tiara, an art deco crown that she had already used at a state banquet in 2015. It was made in 1923 by order of the Queen Mother, who made royal jewelers use the gemstones in a necklace given to her by her husband, King George VI. It subsequently passed first to Elizabeth II, then to her sister Margaret and Lady Diana, while in later years it was inherited by Kate.
