In show business mourning, she died maria del monte, well-known Neapolitan actress who passed away in the last few hours at the age of 77. News that saddens many theater and film enthusiasts, especially the Neapolitan public. The announcement of the actress’s death was released on social networks through the group “Once upon a time a gallery”. A user writes:
“Dear friends, unfortunately I have to give you some sad news that I never wanted to give you. A short time ago my dear friend, an outstanding actress loved and highly esteemed by all of us, passed away. Maria del Monte. On behalf of me and all of you, the deepest condolences to her husband Carmine Esposito and son Massimo May the Lord bless you.
Maria del Monte was an actress of character, well known especially in the Neapolitan context for having participated in several works in some films alongside comedians such as Alessandro Siani (“Too Neapolitan”, “Miracles are accepted”), Maurice Casagrande (“Santa Claus is not from the north”) and Vincent Salemme (“The best friend”, “Love at first sight”). He also worked with Matteo Garrone in the film “Reality”.
He began his career at a very young age, working alongside prominent personalities, especially collaborating with Mario Merola and Nunzio Gallo. In 1979, he made his film debut in Mario Bianchi’s film, Napoli’s Love and Revenge Story, with Mario Da Vinci, Sal Da Vinci. In 2001, thanks to participation in the film by Nino D’Angelo aitanicalreceiving a David di Donatello Award nomination.
During his career he also worked a lot in the theater, alongside well-known interpreters of the Neapolitan scene such as Carlo Buccirosso, participating in the staging of plays by Eduardo and Peppino De Filippo, Eduardo Scarpetta, Raffaele Viviani and Roberto De Simone.
