Roman rule vs. The Rock was ahead of the big fight Wrestlemania 39 April next year, but now it looks like WWE is looking to put another huge match on the map: Reigns vs. “Steinkalt” Steve Austin. “The Texas Rattlesnake” came out of retirement at WrestleMania 38 for a full match with Kevin Owens, and the match went so well that reports surfaced almost immediately that Austin would be back for more.
After combat teamSean Ross Sapp received an inside pitch for Reigns vs. Austin for “a lot of money”. He then noted that his sources do not know whether or not he was hired, and that another “big name” had applied to Austin months earlier. Stay tuned for future updates.

The odds of Reigns vs. Rock suddenly started falling last week when Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Johnson was worried he wouldn’t be in the right shape for a game with Reigns due to his incredibly busy schedule, being the face of multiple brands and restarting the XFL football league. Meanwhile, Austin shows off his toned physique in several workout videos on his Instagram.
“Good [laughs]for me to attend WrestleMania 38 if you had said to me, “Hey, you’re going to be a part of WrestleMania 38. Plus, you’re main eventing the first night,” I would’ve said you’re full of shit and crazy, and there you were. me in dallas texas headlining the main event on day one so never say never but i really think as part of this show it’s going to be a big show in a big city and it’s going to be two more night event so i’m pretty sure i’m done wrestling as such but as part of wwe i can’t imagine not being there in some capacity and i didn’t sign up for the show because i didn’t sign up at 38 That’s a Vince. [McMahon] and I have a great relationship with him and if I get a call, I’ll be there,” Austin said beer podcast weeks after leaving with Owens.
