Ozzy Osbourne cancels tour: ‘My body is physically weak’

Heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne announced the cancellation of his upcoming shows, assuring that he stopped touring because “you no longer feel physically capable” of performing them.

“This is probably one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you know, four years ago this month I had a serious accident that hurt my spine,” the British singer said in a post on Twitter.

The 74-year-old artist, who was born in Birmingham (England) and lives in Los Angeles (USA), adds that as a result he can no longer afford the necessary travel for a tour.

“My only goal at that time was to get back on the podium,” he shouted. “My singing voice is good. But after three surgeries, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy, and most recently the breakthrough Cybernics Treatment (HAL), my body is still physically weak.

During his career, which began as a member of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, Osbourne won several Grammy Awards, both for his solo work and for his affiliation with that group, which he left in 1978, CNN recalls.

“I never thought my touring days would end like this. My team is trying to find a way for me to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country,” the “Iron Man” singer said in his post.

The multi-MTV award winner also thanked his team, family, old friends, Judas Priest and, of course, his fans for their loyalty, support and for giving him “a life he never dreamed of”. .
