Netflix has been licensed to stream multiple seasons of the Canadian crime drama series. 19-2 and will air on February 27, 2023.
Developed by Bruce M. Smith, the series is based on the series of the same name that originally aired in France. Set in Montreal, the series follows the professional and personal lives of the police officers at Montreal Police Station 19, which occupies part of downtown Montreal.
Four seasons aired in Canada between 2014 and 2017 (the first three on Bravo and the last on CTV).

It’s unclear exactly how many seasons will be coming to Netflix, but given the terminology, at least seasons 1 and 2 will be added to the service.
This is not the first time 19-2 displayed in the United States. The series previously aired on Acorn TV, the UK streamer of AMC Networks, which airs seasons 1-2 through 2030.
The NYTimes reviewed the show in 2016 when it first aired on Acorn TV calling it “sluggish”, but added:
There are tropes in 19-2 – the crime genre is too busy for anyone – but the writing is fantastic, making each episode a symphonic poem of sorts, a carefully observed slice of urban and police life. The series follows the tradition of shows like The Wire by making law enforcement less flashy and noisy than others, and therefore more accurate.
Julia Alexander, now at Parrot Analytics, has written in the past about Netflix’s need for more techniques like Criminal Minds and NCIS (which were huge viewership generators based on Nielsen data).
This will be taken over by the 2023 Netflix season 1 and 2 license new amsterdam in the US since the beginning of the year and has since appeared in the TV top 10.
