The legal controversies between the singer and his cousin began in July 2022, when Sánchez Martin obtained a domestic violence protection order against his uncle, which was, however, filed that same month at the request of the young man.
Subsequently, the court granted Enrique Martin Moralesthe singer’s first name, a stalking order against his cousin, which was extended for a year last November.
The measure orders Sánchez “to refrain from harassing, persecuting, intimidating, threatening or in any other way interfering with the applicant or his family members”, as well as not to go near his home or that of his family members and not to contact to engage with him by phone, via phone, email or social media.
Sánchez, for his part, filed a sexual assault complaint against his uncle in early September, but in October a judge denied the order to requested protection.
