The voices of Fonseca and Juan Luis Guerras united in ‘Si tú me quieres’

If you love meis a theme that sings for love and dreams, under a melody for the tropical style that characterizes both Fonseca and Juan Luis Guerra; fully recorded live and which one is the lead single from Fonseca’s upcoming album; tenth in his career.

The video shows the reality of what the song’s production was like, with a mix of real footage from Fonseca and Juan Luis Guerra’s vocal sessions, as well as the percussion and drums recorded bit by bit over the course of months. “Sharing this song with maestro Juan Luis Guerra is a dream come true for me…hearing his voice in this song is something very exciting and it’s a song that somehow shows the influence his music has on the mine has had,” Fonseca said.

“I got the invitation from Fonseca to sing in this song and when I heard it I realized it was a very beautiful song; one of the most beautiful I’ve been invited to. It’s always a pleasure to work with him… he has one of the most beautiful voices I know and I hope everyone will enjoy this duet,” he commented Juan Luis Guerra.

If you love me was written by Fonseca together with the winners composers Yoel Henríquez and Yadam González. The production was in the hands of Yadam and the singer Juanes. The lyrics are about the illusion that love generates and does everything for that loved one.

“I want to do for you what no one else can and be the superhero of your world. If I could fly to Mars and return I would do it all if you want me”, versa part of the melody.
