After pressure from the media, the accordionist ‘El Papo Elías’ resigned from the group Los Diablitos de Colombia, stating that he was not an accomplice of Plutarco Urrutia, who only called him to give musical presentations.
“I hereby clarify my dissociation and irrevocable resignation from the Los Diablitos del Vallenato brand purchased by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce by Mr. Plutarco. For reasons of Mr. Plutarco’s personal problems with the brand, I ask all concerned to separate me from the personal problem, all friends and colleagues who know me confirm that I am a simple worker of Mr. Plutarco (I am not an accomplice, I have not decided anything, just call me before the events and I will go)”, “El Papo Elías” wrote on his social networks.
Commenting on the publication of the accordion player, Juan Manuel Geles reiterated that he has never sold the Los Diablitos de Colombia brand and clarified that as long as “there is a living Geles”, they will not sell their rights.
