Don Omar announces the release of his next album ‘Forever king’

Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Don Omar announced this Thursday the release of his next album ‘Forever King’, consisting of 14 tracks ranging from traditional city rhythms to tropical and Cuban rhythms, which will be available from June 22.

“If there’s one thing I’ve always looked for throughout my career, it’s to offer the audience those street rhythms that have always identified me, but without the fear of fusing other genres. That is what has always set us apart. And on this record in particular, I am accompanied by the best caliber in music,” the artist said in a statement.

In his opinion, his albums have “always marked a before and an after” and he is confident that this “will also happen with ‘Forever King'”.

On this album, the artist is joined by figures from the urban genre such as Maluma, Wisin, Gente de Zona, Residente, Cosculluela, Chencho Corleone, Nio García, Akon and Lil Jon.

Likewise, the reggaeton singer is celebrating the reassertion of his title as the ‘King of Reggaeton’ by consuming over 100,000 million units throughout his musical career.

In addition, it is 20 years ago this year that the album ‘The Last Don’ was released, a milestone in Don Omar’s career.

“With ‘The Last Don’ we clearly showed the industry that this music wasn’t just one sector, and that it could be very commercial. Today I am blessed to celebrate the 100 billion consumer units of my music career, which is the equivalent of album sales and streams, and I know this record was a fundamental part of that achievement.

“Now we are ready for a new musical success, which will continue to promote this trajectory,” concluded the city interpreter.

The release of ‘Forever King’ comes after the artist presented his concept album ‘Pain is love’ in January, on which several singers came together.

The artists Randy, Divino, Shadow Blow, De La Ghetto, Yomo, EL YMAN, Fortuna La Súper F, Angel López, Lyan, Franco El Gorila, Alberto Stylee and Tivi Gunz were part of the album ‘Pain is Love’.
