Juanes kicks off his European tour with rockforce in Marbella

“Gray”, theme of his new repertoire, was the song that opened the concert of the Starlite Occident festival and gave rise to other great successes such as “It’s for You”, “Goodbye” or “I’m worthless without your love”, with which Juanes has revolutionized his most loyal audience.

With a lot of energy, dancing and guitar solos, the Colombian has songs like “Forbidden love”full of rhythm, “Hopefully”, referring to “differences” with old loves, or “Cecilia“, a single he dedicates to his wife Karen Cecilia and especially their evolution as a couple.

In this new creative cycle, the singer combines his own back to its rocky roots and his skill as a composer, which he applied in times of pandemic as an introspective and more mature view of life, love, family and social concerns.

In this context the theme “Missing Song”, which he recorded with the Afro-Colombian composer Mabiland and which he dedicates to the disappeared in Colombia.

However, this Friday’s concert was largely marked by the rhythm of the 2000s songs that boosted his career, such as “The Black Shirt”, “I’m Asking God” or “I’m Falling in Love”, one of the most sung and danced by their fans.

Winner of 27 Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, Juanes has also found a place to sing “The Silver”; the success of his compatriot Carlos Vives “The Women”, that he has dedicated to the female audience, or the song “for your love”, that he performed under the stage with his fans.

The artist has concluded the concert with the themes “Daily life”who gives his name to the new album, or “The light”, which formed the finishing touch to an evening full of energy, emotions and rock.

Before saying goodbye, Juanes wanted to recognize the talent of his opening act Gale, a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter making her way in the music industry and with whom he sang the song tonight “Photography”which he shared with Nelly Furtado at the time.

After visiting Starlite, Juanes will visit cities such as Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris, among other European destinations, and eight Spanish cities, including Barcelona, ​​Seville, Aranda del Duero and Lanzarote.
