RBD points out that his return to the stage has surpassed ‘the musical’

The Mexicans Maite Perroni, Christian Chávez and Christopher von Uckermann, members of the pop group RBD, pointed out on Wednesday that their return to the stage with their “Soy rebel tour” has surpassed “the musical”, thanks to the audience’s reaction and because they have now also taken over management of their project.

“It’s a heart-to-heart connection, it was beautiful,” Perroni said during a talk they gave today during Billboard’s Latin Music Week in Miami Beach, South Florida (USA), referring to the response the audience has given them after their return to the road after 15 years.

At his side, Chávez confirmed his partner’s impression of the audience’s reception for his return, pointing out that every concert is “an extrasensory experience”.

“It’s like therapy for those present and for us. It’s a show that not only touches on the musical part but also relates to something much deeper,” he added.

For his part, Von Uckermann emphasized that the concerts of the tour, which started last August 25 in El Paso, Texas (USA), are “a visual experience”, with more elements on stage and which now also include dancers.

The three members of the group, which is completed by Dulce María and Anahí, ripely recalled their beginnings in 2004 and emphasized that the tour and their current projects are already being developed while they are founded as a business company.

“We are the owners of our project, no one else,” said Perroni, who acknowledged that it has been a challenge and a constant learning experience to be involved in all aspects of this tour, which will travel across the United States and then continue in the Latin. America and closes at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

There have been emotional moments, such as when Perroni broke down as he recalled the positive response from those present at the first recital they gave after Chávez publicly announced his sexual orientation.

Latin Music Week coincides with the Latin Billboard Awards, held Thursday at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, a city near Miami, and a gala in which singer Peso Pluma is the favorite with 21 nominations.

The Mexican was also one of the artists who offered live performances this week, including DannyLux, Greeicy, Mike Bahía and on Friday the Colombian Fonseca will do so.
