Netflix to premiere ‘Higuita: The Way of the Scorpion’ on November 2

Football fans will be able to discover life René Higuita, the iconic goalkeeper of the Colombian national team in the 90s, who changed the position of the goalkeeper in football forever with his risky and revolutionary style. In this documentary he speaks about being for the first time humble origins, his friendship with Pablo Escobar and his imprisonment for mediating the release of a kidnapped girl. We delve into his life and motivations the fantasy game of the ‘scorpion’ that immortalized him in front of thousands of fans at the legendary Wembley Stadium in England.

“Making this documentary was an experience full of mixed feelings, I relived situations full of joy and deep sadness, but in the end I was very happy with the result. I decided to do it because I thought it was a great opportunity for everyone to know the truth of my story and stop speculating about situations that have never been told.
