Invincible Fans took to social media to express their dismay over the character’s unexpected death in episode 3 of season 2. The first half of season 2 is titled “This Writing, This Machination!” Invincible The last episode focused on Seth Rogen’s Allen the Alien. Allen was first introduced in season 1 when he mistook Earth for the planet Urath. He is a genetically enhanced member of the Unopian species and works for the anti-Viltrumite alliance called the Coalition of Planets. In the series finale, Rogen’s character was brutally attacked by a trio of Viltrumite warriors and subsequently had his life support turned off by coalition leader Thaedus.

Will Prime Video’s Invincible change the fate of Allen’s original comics?

While the brutal attack in the final episode may have come as a surprise to fans unfamiliar with the source material, it may come as a surprise to those who have read the episode. Invincible Comics would be very familiar with the brutal series. Although Allen the Alien only appears a few times in the animated series, he is a very important character in Robert Kirkman’s comics and proves fundamental in the fight against the power of the Viltrum Empire.

Although Allen’s animated comic book counterpart suffered the same type of attack as Rogen’s character, he ultimately spent months healing in stasis, only to become stronger than ever and physically able to take on a Viltrumite for good measure in direct battle. However, Invincible He’s been known to make changes to the source material in the past, and it’s possible the series decides to stray even further from Kirkman’s story and try to kill off Allen for good.

Alternatively, Thaedus’ decision to turn off Allen’s life support could be a way to force his body to heal faster and expedite his return to active duty, rather than leaving him to languish in stasis for months. Yes Invincible‘S It remains to be seen if Allen is gone for good, but if the series killed off his character prematurely, it will mark the series’ most significant departure from the comics yet.
