Justin Lin Stopped Directing Days After Filming Started x fasttenth movie Fast and furioussherry.
He will remain involved in the project as a producer, the filmmaker said on social media on Tuesday. Lin does not give the reason for leaving, but various American media report that it was a creative difference of opinion. Film company Universal is now looking for a new director.
“With Universal’s support, I have made the difficult decision to step back from directing. x fastbecause he will remain involved with the project as a producer,” Lin wrote in his statement.
He also reports that as the son of Asian immigrants, he is proud to contribute to “the most diverse series in cinema history.”
Edition x fastIt is slated to hit theaters in May 2023, starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and newcomer Jason Momoa, among others.
Lin made five Fast and furious-movies.
